Do I need to arrive early?

Please arrive approximately 15 minutes early for your first session to fill out an intake form. After your first session, about 5 minutes early is sufficient.

Is there anything I need to make my therapist aware of?

Please let your therapist know if you have any allergies, areas that need extra attention (ex. neck, hands, hamstrings, etc), and if there are any areas that need to be avoided (prior injuries of concern, bruises, etc.).

I've never had a massage before. What do I need to know?

Your session will be with a professional, state licensed massage therapist. You can undress to your comfort level as you will be professionally draped the entire massage.  If there is an area you don't want massaged, for example, your feet are really ticklish and you hate having them touched- just let your therapist know! The session is meant to be therapeutic and relaxing, not to make you feel uncomfortable, anxious, or stressed! Communication is key!  Your therapist will check in with you regarding pressure.  Again, the massage should be relaxing and rejuvenating, so if an area is extra tender, don't be shy! You can speak up and the therapist will adjust accordingly. Massage does not need to be painful to be effective in pain relief.

What if I'm not feeling well?

Please let your therapist know if you are not feeling well as early as possible. Of course, a 24-hour notice is preferred, we understand that things come up and sickness can arrive at any time.  Please reschedule your appointment if you have symptoms of illness.

Pilates

Mats and towels are provided for class, but you are welcome to bring your own!

Pilates/grip socks must be worn for class OR feet wiped prior class (wipes available). Socks are available for purchase, or you can bring your own.

Do I need to have Pilates experience before taking a class?

Experience is not necessary. We have a Beginning Foundation course that is great for beginners or someone who hasn’t done Pilates in a while. Our Mixed Level class is also suitable for beginners but will be a little faster paced and thus may be more challenging.

I have an injury; can I still do Pilates?

In many cases yes and it can actually be very beneficial in your healing. However, it does depend on the injury and where you are at in the healing process. If you have a concern, please reach out to the studio to discuss with Dennielle. A private session may be required to help you with modifications for your particular health concern.

Monthly membership

Monthly memberships are currently available for our Beginning Foundation and Mixed Level mat classes. Memberships are not auto-renewing but can be at a student’s request for convenience.

No show/cancellation policies

We understand that life happens and aim to be reasonable in our business operations. Please cancel as early as possible as class sizes are small. An 8-hour notice is required for Pilates, shorter notice will result in a purchase credit being used.
